Giraffe Friendship Children book about SelfEsteem eBook Michael Gordon
This is a sweet story about how some folks judge too much by appearances and that, to be true friends, how we look on the outside has very little to do with our friendships and who we truly are. There are always things we can do and enjoy together that have nothing to do with how we look or what "group" we belong in. Tiny as they are, it made the grandchildren sad that nobody would be the giraffe's friend because they felt he was too tall and big. They want to befriend this giraffe. This story helps them realize we all have some things different and some things in common and that's fine. Accept and love folks for who they are and they will do the same for you. The illustrations are bright and colorful. This is a nice addition to our story times with the grandchildren and includes some great life lessons.Product details

Giraffe Friendship Children book about SelfEsteem eBook Michael Gordon Reviews
Format was the concern. Only because it was suppose to keep the attention of a toddler. Other than that the book was ok.
I thought this was a very good lesson in a short picture book of letting kids know that size, shape or whatever should not matter but as the author said,It's what's inside that really matters . Thus for these reasons I wish to give this five stars and recommend this especially for kids ages 3-8+.
I received this for free USING KU , now in retyrn, here is my honest review. Super job Michael ! By Angela
Skimpy little book for the price. Would not recommend.
kids liked and understood book
This is a sweet story about friendship for young children. It explains the pain of change and rejection, as well as the importance of being and having true friends.
This book has a nice message to it. Most of the rhymes are good and the reading rhythm is only off in a couple of places. The illustrations are okay, but nothing special.
Cute bedtime story or read aloud rhyming book for preschoolers and young children. The tale features a cute and kind hearted giraffe named Jeffrey. He had lots of friends until he got older and started to grow very tall. Jeffrey's friends complain that his head is too high and his legs too tall and scrawny. Jeffrey is despondent because he can't find a single friend. One day he meets a frog who is lost. Jeffrey volunteers to locate the frog's home. The green frog lets Jeffrey know that he will be a friend forever. Jeffrey learns that a true friend does not care about outward appearance; it is what's inside that matters.
Illustrations are appealing and the rhymes are done well. Young readers will enjoy the tale and learn a valuable lesson about making friends.
